August 2005 – Present
Freelance 3d VFX generalist
I have 10 years’ experience working on VFX for TV, Film, and the Web.
Much of that time I have used Softimage, with around 3 years of MAX use and recent Maya experience. I achieve photo-real results using Mental Ray and Arnold, with a skillset including 3D tracking, modelling, animation, lighting and Softimage ICE particle systems.
My recent experience saw me working as a 3D lead on the new format series of Teletubbies, working for almost a year alongside the production company, from the concept stage right through to delivery.
In October 2012, an ident I worked on for CCTV-9 was part of a series that won a Promax BDA Asia Gold Award for Best On-Air Channel Branding.
In June 2009, BBC iScience, an educational project I contributed all 25 3D shots to, won the Royal Television Society award for Best Television Program for Schools.
Following my degree, my final year animation was nominated for a Royal Television Society Student Award.
